Dockside On York Harbor

Dockside is one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph! I've shot many weddings there and I've loved every one of them. The staff is top notch, the grounds are beautiful, and view is unmatched, and during your reception you'll probably be visited by a nosy great blue heron. He's popped up at most of the weddings I've shot there. There are so many wedding venues in Southern Maine, you probably can't do any better than Dockside. Food: 5

My husband and I were married here last weekend and we could not have asked for a more wonderful place to have our wedding! The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food (especially the passed appetizers) is delicious, and the staff who made our night possible are incredibly kind and helpful. Heather made planning our wedding easy and the day was perfect! Kendra was so helpful and the food was amazing! Every single person on staff was phenomenal! They were also incredibly accommodating of dietary restrictions. Thank you so much for helping us have the perfect wedding day. And if you have a chance to stay at the Guest Quarters on site, DO IT!! The view of the water is wonderful.

I love this place!!! It's exceptional when the screened in area is open...You are able to dine and watch all the boats come and go while enjoying the wildlife!!! I usually get the special as I was told once it's always the freshest, but please don't hesitate venturing with the rest of the menu...Staff 5*, View 5*, Area 5*, Menu 5* and make sure you take a walk to the pier...Bon Appétit!!! Food could be better here. We have been traveling the last several weeks around the country, so getting to see a good spectrum of food. Swordfish was good, prime rib was ok, steamers were pretty bad, desserts were average (though big), and mixed drinks varied by night on quality. Porch is really nice, and the view is great.
