Eagles Nest Event Venue - York

Place has definitely decreased in food quality for the price since the last time I was here years back. Paying $160 for an “okay dinner” for TWO people on a week night date not worth it is crazy to me. Crab dip was good (basically a spinach dip with crab added on top). Drinks were tasty. Definitely “two sips done” cocktails (smallest glasses we’ve ever had compared to many other restaurants for $13/$15 drinks). When it came to our meals we were super disappointed. Sirloin w/ TWO small bacon wrapped scallops special was all very dry. Veggies not seasoned at all. Not worth $32. Crab cake was packed with tons of filler/breading, hardly any crab, very dry, definitely not the crab cake people hope for when you say “award winning”. NY strip…have had way better steak at Texas Roadhouse for way less than $35 an entree. Was hoping steaks would be a better quality/tier for the price. Creme brûlée was good/great portion. We left expecting so much more out of this beautiful place.

We had the scallops, rice pilaf and green beans as well as the chicken breast nest. The scallops were not seared very well, the beans were overly salty, and the rice pilaf was very overcooked and sticky. The live music and service was great though but sadly the food was not quality enough to make us want to come back for that price. I would recommend if you are looking for a nice view and apps and drinks.

Drinks were slow to come out. Food was good, portions were good. Found a long hair in the spaghetti after consuming most of it. Atmosphere was loud due to large bar presence. For the price, I expected a different atmosphere than I could get in a sports bar. Probably my one and only trip there.

You have to have Jenn as your server! Wednesday, Fridays and saturdays for lunch time! She went above and beyond for us. She even made a key lime drink for me without dairy because I couldn’t have a lot of the drinks due to the dairy products, 10/10 experience all around. The sea bass with crab on top is the BEST. Even the cooks, hosts, managers and bartenders all came out and were super nice to us. This is where I would spend all mu money because the atmosphere and people are beyond amazing. As a server I look for places this accommodating and this is by far the BEST SPOT IN YORK. !!

Outstanding food! This restaurant has a great view for York County. I recommend this restaurant for a beautiful date night.
