Hong Kong House of Love Style Restaurant with a mix of traditional Hong Kong/Chinese dishes, e.g. wooled noodle, Kongee, etc. and western style food, e.g. steak, baked pork apron, French toast for afternoon teatime special. The varieties are simply amazing. I had the baked pork shop...w/two eggs and steam broccoli w/corn bits and milk tea. The waitress was very accommodating so I could change from the standard carbohydrate to the vegetables. The court was really good and adapted my new food lifestyle. Overall, the restaurant is spacious and also offers free Wi-Fi. We usually go there as a group and enjoy the offers there.
If you're in the mood for a quick bite at a Hong Kong-style cafe, this place will hit the spot. The food is excellent with a mix of traditional Hong Kong dishes and Western options. Overall, the food is satisfactory and will surely satisfy your cravings.
Hong Kong Cafe Standard is a spacious restaurant with outdated decor, but the comfort and atmosphere are perfect and relaxing. The service was friendly but slow. Despite these shortcomings, the surprisingly tasty and affordable dishes saved the day. The portions are generous, so be prepared to share. Standout dishes include the authentic Hong Kong style Russian Borscht, the well-balanced Baked Spaghetti with meat sauce, and the delicious Hong Kong style baked pork chop on rice. While the flavors may not appeal to everyone, those familiar with British colonial Hong Kong style cafe food will appreciate the nostalgia. In comparison to competitors like Time Square, Firefly's food is superior.
I was extremely disappointed after bringing my partner to this restaurant for a nice dinner. I ordered eel on rice, but the taste was so bad that I had to spit it out immediately. The waitress consulted with the chef, who claimed that they had been serving the eel all day without any complaints. The waitress seemed unsure of what to do and implied that I didn't know what I was talking about, despite the fact that I regularly eat eel and am familiar with its different preparations. I believe the eel was rotten and the meal was truly unpleasant. To make matters worse, they still charged me full price and only offered a 10% discount. I was left feeling ignored, possibly because of my age. I hope they have improved since my visit, as it has been some time.
