Swiss Chalet - York

We went for lunch and were told there was no dark meat available because they had run out of it. This at the start of lunch time noon. What! A restaurant specializing in chicken has run out the main item before the lunch service even starts? We had to regroup and order much more expensive items and forgo the coupon. One person ordered the chicken white meat. Everyone else who wanted dark meat ordered something else. Guess what? When the food arrived the person who ordered white meat got dark meat! So we could have had the dark meat quarters all along. I truly regret not telling them to take away the expensive dishes and replace them with want we wanted in the first place dark meat. When I complained to the manger the story was they have no way to predict demand. How can they possibly think nobody is going to order dark meat at the very start of lunch service. Additionally the overall service was terrible. They have way too few staff for the number of tables. Drinks took forever. Getting a desert menu took forever. You could never get staff for anything.

Look at this from the health department Swiss Chalet, 7359 Woodbine Ave., Markham, was ordered closed Oct. 13 for failure to provide adequate protection against the entrance of insects, vermin or rodents. The business was reinspected and reopened Oct. 15. Our server Rosa and Lisa was awesome, they made our time enjoyable, very pleasant.The only small complaint the bathroom was smelling terrible, needed some freshness.

Sheida, our server, was very friendly, timely, attentive, and she even had the kindness to take a picture of us. The food and service was excellent. Was here with my niece and nephew and she made them feel special and very welcome here at Swiss Chalet.
