They offered to bring a change plate from Sashimi to start what was beautiful and fresh. Then we ordered from the...Menu. Sometimes the food needed time to be served, and it would be nice if the waiting staff named what they laid down. The Korean calf short cattle ribs were good, but each bone counted as a piece, so we had to place 4-5 orders in a time. Refillable soda drinks are included in the food price so that it is good. There are a few desserts that were small, but that allowed you to try several.
Price is reasonable and so is the variety of foods. The fried food is made good and not overcooked. Fish is what you would expect in this way of space. It can be on weekdays dinner so make reservations for weekend dinner.
We found this place behind the Pacific Mall one day while we bought it. It was very big and had a nice atmosphere. Your menu was okay, but not the variety of roles that we are used to other all you eat sushi places. The food... we were served, but was very good. You do not have a separate lunch or dinner menu it is the same price all day. When we went last week, they had a promotion where you could eat a free grilled half lobster with the purchase of any adult anything you can eat. The lobster was delicious, but very dirty! We paid $23.99/person who is about average for everything you can eat sushi spot.
I enjoy Japanese cuisine, but I don't frequent all-you-can-eat restaurants often because they typically don't have the same quality of food as a la carte restaurants. Yamamoto is no exception to this rule. However, I must say that their menu has a lot of options and most of them are decent (for an all-you-can-eat place). I also understand that they are usually busy, which means a fast food turnover and a better chance of serving fresh food, which is especially important for raw ingredients. My kids enjoy the variety of desserts they offer. The service is not amazing, but it's not terrible either. The portion sizes are small, but that's not a problem because you can order more. The prices are on the high side and there is a 10% service charge added to the bill.
I have dined at numerous All-You-Can-Eat sushi restaurants in Markham, and this one is by far my favorite. I have returned multiple times. While the service was at its best when the restaurant first opened (they even offered free baked lobsters to all customers in the opening year), the food quality has remained consistent. While AYCE sushi places usually have lower quality sashimi, I have found that this restaurant has the best quality food compared to others in the area. The food also arrives very quickly. Although the service may not be top-notch, the overall dining experience is quite enjoyable.
