Been coming to this place for 12 years. It has a great old school atmosphere where everyone is like family. When they do cook AND I ASSURE YOU THAT YOU WILL. OT FIND BETTER LAMB, CHICKEN, HAM and when available pork. You can always find George there and his wife and son are there doing their thing making sure your plate is full of goodness.

Dubic Palm Cafe is a cool Ytown experience. It is owned by a multi-generational Croatian family and they are locally famous for their Saturday BBQ’s. It’s a little confusing to navigate so if you have some anxiety it’s best to stop at the bar and get a bottle of Croatian beer and “half and half” shot made up of two Croatian liqueurs. Saturday mornings the place starts filling up around 11:30 and by 12:30 the first meats come out of the smokehouse. Usually chicken, ham and pork. There is a small counter to the side equipped with a bandsaw where the pit master portions out the meats. There’s usually plenty of chicken and pork for everyone because they are saving room for the lamb which is ready around 1. You might need a number to get a share of the lamb (you can call ahead or just wait it out but there’s no guarantee) Side items like green onions and pickled peppers are on a side table but service, seating and utensils are sparse! Great place to go with a group as long as you don’t have a tight schedule. The meats are phenomenal and the atmosphere is amazing. Easy place to make friends!
