First rate old school barbecue restaurant in Yulee Florida. My first time there. I had the lunch special of a BBQ pork sandwich on garlic toast with collard greens on the side. Both were awesome and topped the sandwich with Willie?s house made Carolina gold sauce. Washed it all down with their special Grape Lemonade drink. Classic goodness in a cup.
Like this place a lot and the food is good. The staff is really friendly. Portion are good size. Just don't get the banana pudding or peach cobbler it could be a lot better.
The southern country style house is very cozy and has the specialty brisquet smoked for 12 hours and reference in yulee which was very tasty, due to the tenderness of the meat, you could see that the fat could melt during its smoking process. It had a crispy, purple crust. impeccable. I tried the pulled pork which was good and even better with the house sauces. in controversy I found the side dishes bland and very greasy with the breaded potato and the fried corn. the fried pickles had a very thick mass too.. a great option to taste only the meats and sauce in the old shool mode
Decided to try this place out after seeing good reviews. Well it was terrible the pulled pork and turkey has no flavor you can easily tell it was not smoked or grilled like it was baked, green beans are canned and have a crazy amount of butter added, coleslaw was warm and had no flavor. Paid over $60 for it?
