El Charro Cafe - Yuma

My wife and I were there on Tuesday for an early dinner to avoid the crowds. I had a Red Chili con Carne, beef, with a saddle and 2 folded beef tacos. My wife had the large Albondiga soup. For desert I ordered church's. Everything was excellent. Portions are generous. Our server, Vanessa was amazing. I hope this establishment recognizes her contribution to their success. Thanks again Vanessa! Atmosphere is noisy. I'd suggest a larger dining room but they'll just add more tables. Parking: Parking is tight but worth it.

Our server was Melissa and was good. My husband ordered #1 combination did not have the tamale and the green chili with meat the meat tasted old. I ordered the beef chimichanga with the red enchilada sauce, the red sauce was bitter I only ate like four bites. The worse chimichanga I've ever had. I used to really like El Charro, don't think I'll be returning. Charged $19.99 for the Chimichanga. Food: 2

Solid meal. I ordered the flautas to go. They have generous condiments of salsa and guacamole. Delish!! It doesn’t look like much from outside but inside is festive, colorful and the host/hostess and servers are wonderful. Lovely place I highly recommend it. The moment I walked into this place, I could just feel the family friendly vibe. I did a pick up order and every single person that walked by either coming or going, greeted or said goodnight to the ladies at the register. That's rare to see and really made me see the character this place has left with its community. Small family restaurant and the food was much more than I expected for the price. You definitely don't leave hungry. Well, in my case I did, but that's only because I took my food to go.
