You can peak into the kitchen and see the fresh food and huge wood burning ovens. A complex of buildings spread over several levels of hillside customers are offered a panoramic view of mountains leading to the broad flat plain. A wine list of extensive choices. I went with the waitress' recommendation. A basket of delicious bread is served with a zesty tomato topping. I ordered the standard tapas...jamon Serrano and iberico, tortilla española, albondigas, gambas al ajillo and manchego cheese and olives. The waitress wisely advised us to order a small paella. All of the food was delicious. The paella wasn't stellar, but it was tasty. The service was extraordinary. The owners live onsite and manage it as a labor of love. The various dining areas are carefully considered for the comfort of customers. Do bring a sweater, but you will also find a warm fireplace. Lots of space for the kids outside. You can make a day of it or stop by for churros and chocolate. I did notice locals choosing this economical option, granting you the use of the beautiful grounds and restaurant in an economical way. I considered it a good value. Sumptuous dinner for two with wine and drinks was about $125.
Authentic Spanish dishes. Excellent tortilla Espanola, jamon serrano, iberico cheese and churros. Nice way to get out of the Cali heat and up in the mountains. Incredible views and a good wine selection.
We enjoyed the ambiance and great service. The tapas are very good. We ordered the seafood paella. It was good but not great; the seafood was dry. The churros didn't taste authentic; they tasted more as oil. Overall it is a nice place to visit with family and friends. Reservations recommended...if you go with children request the new area as it is close to the playground. Don't forget a sweater.
Authentic Spanish cuisine served in a beautifully decorated Spanish atmosphere sets the stage for memorable lunches and romantic dinners... suround by mountains and great views. La Barra de Manolo serves delicious tapas, selections of Iberian cheeses, daily specials and a great wine list. The restaurant has a light, fun atmosphere. The service is fast, and the wait staff is friendly and efficient
