City Gate is the entrance to Valletta. In the middle of the square is the lovely Triton Fountain.

Amazing area in Valetta. A must see, but spend the day walking around soaking up the culture in the location. Walk to the end to see the fortifications, see the canons firing on the hour and try and find the entrance to the cave restaurant. A must visit for culture freaks.

The recently upgraded and well maintained city gate area with the Tritons Fountain is one must. a suitable royal entrance to the capital valletta. public buses terinus is close, taxis often happen and when they drive there are parking spaces at a price. Ideal for a walk or sit around the fountain that absorbs the sun.
