Konoba Karuba - Zadar

This place was way better last year. I have no idea what went wrong. All in all, meh. Average food, drinks aren't that good. We've oedered 2 portions of fried squid rings with chips, one of which should've been split onto 2 plates. For some reason, half portions and 1 full portion were each the same size and weight (roughly). That's weird at least

Nice restaurant, friendly staff and great food. Try their speciality, the Dalmatian sour beef with gnocchi. They even have their private flock of seagulls they are feeding there Only disadvantage, after some time lots of tiny ants discover tables with food on them and invade it, so make sure to leave after about 45 minutes

Be careful hair in your meal!!! Why there is no “zero “ stars for the review? The worst place we have been in Zadar. Waiters have no idea about cultural customer service. We ordered a huge family dinner for over 700 kunas. There was a hair in the plate of the youngest child, right from the meat (photo). Waitress L__ra took the untouched plate and added the cost to the bill. It wasn't until I refused to pay for the “hair” food that she angrily removed the item from the bill. Separately, the waitress noted that the cooker ignored (didn’t comment) my remark, and she didn’t have any contact to the manager

What can I say more? See picture attached: very large and tasty. Staff friendly.

The food was great and the service was very fast. The waiters were very friendly and the place felt like home. We'll come back next year!
