First time for me to try tiolang itum, a Tausug-Muslim version of tinola but with beef and charred coconut. Loved it. The staff is friendly too. Check it out if you’re in town.

A few years ago, this Zamboanga hotel disappointed me and scared me. The management blamed me for their defective Aircon. Then, during the NM Zulfikar Sali Cup, we needed an additional hotel room because the events do not go as planned. I was grateful to the Marcian Business Hotel that he brought us before check-in from 2:00. Only a few hotels in ZC allow this comfort. Most of the times, their desks would instruct you to wait even though they were only empty rooms. Hotel policy. We have this room for P1,200 in Marcian Business Hotel. It was comparable to P1,700 in my favorite hotel, the Winzell Suites, for the same double room. Marcian also had free hot and cold water that Winzell did not have. In Marcian, the friendly staff brought free water to your room by calling the reception. However, the beauty of Winzell was their online booking system, where you can use a number of Promos with your Mastercard or Visa credit cards. Nevertheless, I would recommend Marcian Business Hotel if you need a clean and comfortable hotel room in Zamboanga City!
