Zanzibar Butterfly Centre

The butterflies are so cool! And the place is very welcoming

We had the best time to visit the butterfly center. It is a very unique and peaceful place. There was something really idyllic to walk around, surrounded by all these beautiful butterflies and the sounds from the forest. One could also say how passionate our guide was not only the butterflies, but nature and animals in general. We also love the concept or idea behind the center: promoting sustainable use of natural resources and additional income for locals there.

This place is special for zanzibar butterfly, just an amazing trip here, next to jozani national park!

Worth the visit! We just drove by and decided to stop and it was the most beautiful surprise. Do not take more than 30-45 minutes and you get a Disney moment with butterflies, learn a lot about them and support a community project!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time there. The butterflies were beautiful and the guide gave us an awesome lesson about butterflies’ life cycle. Some of the cocoons are so beautiful they look surreal. A wonderful way to support the local economy while learning something new
