La Casona De Laly - Zapote Costa Rica

We arrived hoping to have dinner at the place with our dog, only to find out that is not pet friendly. Which is fine, there are several other restaurants that are. However, it was late and we ended up deciding to order for take out. The waiter refused to take my order unless I went across the restaurant to order on the other side. And when I arrived to the other bar side I found out that I couldn’t wait for my order there, instead I had to go all the way back to the other patio side. And again, the worst service ever, when food was ready no waiter/waitress approach, they refused to give me the food unless I went myself to pick it at the checkout area, even though food was already paid. Additionally, The cashier named Marvin C had no kind words, made me wait over 35 minutes for this order and was rude at all times, even when I was ordering and paying. I do not recommend this place, food wasn’t even worth it. If I could I would give them -5 stars

My first time dining at the beautiful La Casona de Laly restaurant. We arrived very late maybe 1 hr before scheduled closing but From being seated to check out the staff was very attentive. I ordered chicken potatoes w/ salad my friend had the (seafood) dish. Being late and tired my few pictures doesn’t do justice to this incredibly run restaurant. The place is huge but feels very cozy and the atmosphere was incredible. A little pricey for the average bear but I’ll be back.

At a moments notice, this restaurant accommodated our party of 20 and didn't miss a beat! The staff was friendly and efficient. The food was cooked fresh and delicious. The.portion sizes were generous and they had a nice selection of appetizers, entrees, drinks and desserts.

First visit, but I will return at first opportunity. Good food at very reasonable prices. The service was great. My friend and I got the order mixed up, and the waiter fixed things at no additional cost. After lunch, I asked if the coffee was fresh ... the waiter brought the chorreador to the table and made a fresh cup on the spot. The restaurant is expansive with different areas/ambiance. I 'll be back.

I didn't really like much about the place. The food was not good at all. We tried several dishes and all of them were disappointing. The nachos had little to no cheese, almost no guacamole or tomato, and they were just a huge plate of beans with almost no chips, I could easily say the worst nachos I've ever had. The rest of the food was pretty bad, really bad quality cheese on the quesadillas, and canned mushrooms bad quality , the pozole was not good, the rice wasn't fresh. I wouldn't recommend this place at all food-wise. The prices are affordable, the menu has a lot of options but only a couple vegetarian options we tried two of them, they were awful . The bathroom was pretty dirty and had an awful smell. The only thing we liked was that the dinning area looks nice, and the cocktails were good great margaritas! . There's also a big parking space. Besides from that, I would not come back to this place, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. There are a lot of other great places in the area that would be a far better option.
