Ti Yì Sasa - Zhongshan District

Excellent omakase. Every dish was crafted with passion and care. They have a huge selection of fresh, in season ingredients. Presentation was very neat. Inside was clean as a whistle. Service was friendly and they can communicate in a little english. I felt like the price was reasonable and they offer several price levels. You get what you pay for.

Traditional styled sushi. Fresh seafood and professionally prepared. The uni they offer is heaven sent! Price is very reasonable compared to all the other fancy sushi restaurants. Loved the service, it’s pretty chill but not too noisy.

It seems like there are always mixed reviews for this place which is quite true for my own experiences. I’ve been here for several time since 4 years ago. I remember the last two times were just alright and I would have rated it average. However, Chef 阿威 took care of my mother and I for my most recent visit and he’s amazing! We were really full by the end of our meal. We ordered the $3000 set and we got some rare kind of fishes and he was really nice to give us some background for each fish. I’d give my most recent visit a 5 star but my past experience before were more like 3 so I gave it 4 in the end! I do remember one of the fishes weren’t as fresh as I want it to be. I forgot which one it was.

Overall I think the sushi was OK but definitely overpriced, $2500/person for lunch. The dessert was sour and spoiled. There are plenty of places to go in Taipei, don't waste your money here.
