The hotel is located in the city with the unusual salt of Cathederal the portions here are huge. The grilled whole fish was a bit dry. Served with Avacado and a spicy side sauce. Classic potato/maize soup with chicken tasty, but a little bland. Meat plates huge. Extensive beverage list. Was so busy there on weekends, but service workers did their best to maintain. Several parking spaces nearby.
The food is not so bad, but the service is terrible. They don't accept credit cards, but nobody says that. You do not serve a soft drink in cups and you are not welcome to ask.
I've been punishing for the most recent negative reviews I see here. Although this is the first of these 'parillas' on the way to the salt mine and to the cathedral, there are many others on the street that can be better in a certain way. But we had a delicious and enjoyable lunch, the staff was hospitable and the ambience was great (the roving guitarist was sweet and delivered us a 'moment' . There was no smoke; the chairs were not uncomfortable; the meat was not chewing, unusable or leathery; we got the drinks we wanted and the plate for four was generous (although left overs for a take-draf for two. Perhaps the place is 'under new administration' since the previous reviews ' experiences? All in all, a very pleasant and filling lunch.
The first parilla as you head toward the Catedral de Sal, don’t stop as we did carry on to one of the many other ahead for hopefully a better tastier deal.
