Quatterlains, Castell - Zuoz

The castell hotel is a large structure against the mountains of the beautiful engadine. it looks like a lock (here the name) and although its look is not what you would call beautiful, it is impressive. the terrace has a great sunlight and a fantastic view. I was not very important to most other guests. they were not of the kind and social spezies. but don't let your visit scare you here. if they are outside the tourist season (or at least not during the Christmas break), it will not be very crowded and the service by the owner and his wife will be very good and friendly. the lunch menu is not very big, but there is probably something for everyone. I had the hamburger and I must say that it was one of the best I ever had. the meat was delicious and perfectly ground. every bite was a pleasure. season correctly, not too intrusive. a very pleasant experience and I hope to be back in the summer to enjoy the terrace, service and eating.

Die Rote Bar im Hotel Castells ist beeindruckend, aber das Essen hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Das Castell ist seit Jahren ein Geheimtipp für Gäste, die das Besondere suchen. Das Jugendstil-Hotel kombiniert gekonnt vorhandene architektonische Elemente mit einem modernen Ausbau. Besonders Kunstliebhaber werden begeistert sein. Die neue Führung unter der Leitung der Familie Müller setzt sich mit viel Engagement dafür ein, dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen. Der neue Küchenchef Leitner hat auch das gastronomische Angebot deutlich verbessert.

The vegan dishes taste very nice I especially liked the afterlife meat burgers and the Cesar salad with planted chicken (Make sure to ask vegan dressing here). The staff is very friendly and happy to answer questions and make vegetarian dishes vegan.
