Osobnyak - Звенигород

On September 3, 2023, we went to the restaurant "Osobnyak" for lunch. We were in a good mood, chatting about various topics. Suddenly, the owner, as I was told, rushed out from around the corner of the building. He immediately declared that he would not serve us because we were not in the right mood, insisting that only someone in a good mood should be allowed to have lunch. Honestly, we were in a good mood, and his behavior didn't ruin it for us. However, it became clear to me that he is a poor manager, as a decent restaurant owner—and especially a good chef—should be able to lift anyone's spirits with hospitality and delicious food. I have seen and known many such chefs. It seems that this one does not fit the bill at all. Even in a Soviet-style eatery, there wouldn’t have been a place for him.

The attitude towards guests here is utterly dismissive. The location and view from the outdoor terrace are great, but the staff clearly has no understanding of how to properly serve diners in a restaurant. We never even got to place our order because, despite the restaurant being empty, they couldn't seat us at a table. We were told we couldn't sit by the water, even though plenty of tables were available. Inside, there was such a strong odor of some kind of perfume that it was unbearable to stay there. This was on a Saturday at 5 PM and the restaurant was empty! The staff made it clear that they didn't care at all that hungry guests had come to their establishment. Just drive past this strange place... There are plenty of other diverse and delicious restaurants where the staff genuinely appreciates and values their guests.

TERRIBLE AND AWFUL! Stay away from this place if you care about your health. A couple of years ago, it was a decent restaurant, but now the dining room is empty, with hardly any customers, and you still have to run after the waiter; it's impossible to get their attention. After waiting for 40 minutes, we were served fries, but they forgot the utensils, so I had to dash back to the dining area for those. When I complained about the poor service, the waiter started telling me how he had been working since 7 a.m., and so on. After what felt like an eternity, they finally brought us chicken Kiev, but it was so rotten that I could smell it from a distance as the waiter approached. To top it all off, they charged us for dishes we didn't order, overbilling us by a thousand rubles. So, if you're looking for an adrenaline rush, feel free to stop by!

Unsatisfactory serving! They bring this liter-sized drink for 500₽. What's going on?! This is my first and last time ordering. Food: 1
