Tae and nori (sisters who work there) showed me that they have separate dough dishes for vegan tempura and use separate oil for frying. the costs are low in relation to udon and tempoura in the opposite. 1210 for udon and 6 herbal tempura dinner and 990 for lunch. it is about 3 minutes to walk from the Gion Shijo station. the owner wants to make the place friendly and comfortable, so keeps his prices low, all signage is Japanese / English. they understand vegan and vegetarian are different (with vegan is no animal products, but it may seem some pescetarians have said that they are vegetarian and shrimp/fish is ok). either the vegan menu is vegan!
The hot udon was really delicious and the tempura was also delicious. I like the tempura because there was a lot of sweet.
I ordered the vegan udon and tempura, and it was some of the best I have had in Japan. So easy to order vegan at this restaurant.
So cosy udon restrant. The udon soup is made from a kelp. The oil, for the tempura, separates for vegetable and sea food and chicken.
