Feedback gevenDidn't find it bad. But more disappointing. It cannot be compared with a Michelin restaurant. It is simply not sharp enough, all the way around. It seemed like the chefs gave up after the dishes, and the wines were not something special. Don't buy menu royal, it's not worth it.
Just through a fantastic night. The food was in all possible ways an experience. Service was unique. It is certainly not the last time we are here.
We arrived 18:30 filled with great expectations from our last visit to May 2023, where everything was just amazing. The food was also this time in special class good and filled with innovative elements, Bravo! We ordered 1/2 wine menu with Prestige choice. The wine was somewhat swinging in quality and sometimes not particularly well-chored to the dishes. This is of course a subjective assessment, but we have not experienced it before when we have visited restaurants in this class. Ghrelins asmelier explained on direct questions that he could not go deeper into the knowledge of the guests about wine. He believed that the guests did not all have the necessary insight that could only be acquired through a larger wine intake a somewhat unfortunate formulation, but there is no the host can go in right with it. There were also examples that one of the chefs had forgotten the names of the caviar who entered the tasting. After our little cellar visits with extra caviar and champagne, we responded directly to the fact that we were not food recommendations, in which the interest of us as guests looked significantly. There were separate examples that we were not asked if we liked the right. The last few hours of the visit, seemed somewhat chaotic among the staff. We hope that Ghrelin will keep track of it. There is no advice for many swellers, if you would like a star that seems longer than it was in May 2023. We can only give 3 stars, quality and service according to price.
Before our visit we had heard only about Ghrelin, and all expectations were more than met. In fact, we agree that it may be our best restaurant experience to date. Small four hours flew off in company with amazing food and wine and in an atmosphere and with an operation that has for my taste the right balance between professionally and informal. The presentation of food and wine took place at a high academic level and at the same time the staff manages to create a personal and comfortable relaxed atmosphere. There is not the smallest finger to put on the food experience. Each dish is well thought and a delight for both eye and taste onions. It is not the last time we visit Ghrelin.
Having tried all the top restaurants in Aarhus, we fell in love with Ghrelin instantly! The food, service, wine and overall experience is one of the best we've had. This restaurant more than levels with all the Aarhus based Michelin restaurants.
