A great place to have breakfast before heading to Porto Timoni. The staff is super friendly, but the price a bit high. Unlike the hotel next door, they accept external guests for breakfast. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Service: 4 Location: 5

We had a wonderful and relaxing 4 night stay at Zeus throne suites. The hotel is perfect for couples and small groups looking to enjoy a relaxing, quiet holiday surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Not to mention, amazing value for money! The Room Junior Suite The Junior Suite is very spacious and clean with two twin beds by the front door, a bathroom with a rainfall shower head, a double bed with automatic, black out curtains, a small kitchenette (equipped with an oven, hob, sink and utensils), a dining and living room space with a flat screen smart TV (Netflix, amazon prime, YouTube etc), a seating area outside with a very comfy swing chair, a plunge jacuzzi pool and most importantly, sun loungers with the most incredible view of the bay. The room was cleaned once a day which was always appreciated after a long day of exploring. There is also complimentary drinks (beer, wine, Prosecco, soft drinks, water) and chocolate in the fridge which is restocked each day and was thoroughly enjoyed. The Service: All the staff were incredible during our stay which made us feel very welcome and comfortable. On the first day of our stay, we were greeted by the amazing staff and offered a welcome drink before checking into our hotel. Mario took our bags to our room and explained everything we needed to know about the room and facilities. Constantinos was extremely attentive with our needs. If we had any questions, he was able to help us. He recommended routes to beaches, transportation services and was always willing to make our stay comfortable. Nothing felt too much to ask which was great! The location: As we travelled in mid October, it was a lot quieter which was nice when enjoying breakfast and walking to the local recommended attractions. The hotel is close to Porto Timoni (30min), sunset viewpoint (3min walk), and a couple of restaurants which we enjoyed sunset views at. We recommend The Night Owl (reasonably priced meal), Panorama (sunset view) and anafoufou (sunset view and drinks). Down at the bay, we enjoyed drinks at St George’s and Butterfly bar. There is a couple of supermarkets that we were able to pick up snacks from and parking is good here. For a fun activity, there is a bowling bar which we really enjoyed. We hired a boat from Dimitris which we would also highly recommend doing. It was 120 euros (80 euros for 4 hours petrol). The team is lovely and even recommended some local areas we ended up visiting during our final days. As we hired a car, we were able to drive to other areas of the Island (Corfu Town, Paleokastritsa and Sidari, etc) which we would highly recommend doing too. Transport: We would recommend hiring a car or making use of the boat services down at the bay to explore. As we came in off season, we were told that getting a taxi was very difficult so we were lucky that we were able to drive to our destinations using our hired car. If you are driving, it is important to note that the roads are winding and sometimes narrow on the journey from the airport. Upon arrival, there is a narrow road next to a souvenir shop just before the hotel. There is a local man who will stop you and tell you that you cannot drive down there, but ignore him and follow your own directions and the sign which says Zeus Throne. We occasionally walked up and down the mountain to the bay which took about 25 minutes. The walk is pretty steep so bringing walking shoes is definitely recommended. There is a trail route also which we attempted once and we would recommend if you are looking for an adventure. Alternatively, the drive down takes around 8 minutes and was our preferred method. Overall, we had an incredible stay with Zeus Throne and we would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing stay away from big crowds. The scenery is beautiful and is even more incredible in person. The staff are amazing and we would happily come back for a couple of nights to enjoy the scenic views all over again. Such a special place! Thank you Mario and team for making our stay so memorable! Food drinks: The food: The food was good quality and very fresh. We often enjoyed fresh juice, eggs and toast, and fruit salads on the terrace overlooking the beach. We were told we could order as many dishes on the menu as we liked. However, we were often satisfied after one serving as the portions are large and filing. We ordered breakfast to our room one morning which was delivered promptly and was enjoyed looking out at our own private balcony space.
