The mixed meat with chips and salad was tasty, as was the breaded chicken with chips and salad, though the chicken was a bit on the dry side. We'll happily return.
Used to love the food here but was very disappointed on that visit- increased prices, not up to previous standards of food and some abrupt service. Not on my list of places to go after that. Was going to try again this week but it was a mission to get attention so we left. A great shame as the food and service had been spot on till the menu changes.
Just had an amazing lunch as usual. Dorada cooked on the grill with herbs. Garlic potatoes or fries to accompany and salad. Excellent value at €10. Lovely array of desserts if you have room for one) . One of many visits during our stay here.
Rosalias is a firm favourite of ours, be it for a coffee, lunch or early dinner dinner early only in the warmer months. We had a wonderful tapas and wine early supper late in April on an evening siting outside, it was cool but guests preferred outside eating. It was soooo delicious, beautifully served and such an array of choices for veggies as well as carnivores. We had a fab platter served on a wooden board of cheeses and mixed meats , shrimp brochettas, salmon brochettas, calamari, salads, fries, breads and olives and much more all washed down with a plentiful amount of chilled vino. It was totally excellent and thoroughly recommend . Its a fab spot and a wonderful time always had here. thank you xxxxx
We visited this cafe for the first time this morning. We had been meaning to try it for a while we have been regular visitors to the area for the last 20 years and it is nice to try somewhere new. My teenage son ordered a drink and a tosta mista a Portuguese toasted sandwich. After taking about 3 bites he discovered no less than 3 large pieces of clear plastic inside the sandwich, presumably from the packaging of the ham. We raised it with the waitress, as he had swallowed part of one piece before he realised what it was she said tough, he has taken a bite, you are paying for it. As Conceicao regulars, we were pretty disappointed by her response. I hate complaining and usually give places the benefit of the doubt especially in these difficult times. But my son has been coughing and coughing since we got back home, feeling like he has some plastic lodged in his throat, and if it continues it will be a trip to the medical centre. We understand mistakes happen, and an apology would have been enough actually (because 2 euros 50 for the sandwich isn’t such a big deal). But the customer service was bl**dy awful, so to prevent anyone else choking on plastic I would recommend you do as we will do now and avoid this place. I’m back here again at the end of September with my daughter, and I will make sure we spread the word. Shame on you Rosalias concern and an apology cost nothing.
