The pool area was pleasant and included a hot tub and sauna, both of which we used during our stay. We appreciated the adult swim hours offered after 9 PM. Shortly after that time, an employee politely informed a guest whose teenager was still swimming that it was now adult-only time, which we thought was a nice touch. We had breakfast at the restaurant on both days, and the food was excellent. There was ample parking available, conveniently located near the entrance and elevator. Overall, I believe that the Weber offers great value for the experience, and I would definitely consider staying there again if I return to the area.
The room itself was alright, but the air conditioning was quite loud. The wicker chair and ottoman combo, which appears in the hotel’s promotional photos and is also found by the pool, felt strange and uncomfortable—definitely not a practical choice for a hotel room. The bathroom stood out as the highlight of the renovation, notably featuring a sign that touted its “Dazzling Shower and Musical Mirror.” The music aspect refers to a Bluetooth-enabled mirror. The shower was impressive, equipped with multiple rainfall showerheads and a handheld option. The lighting in the bathroom was also very good. There was a Toto toilet, but I struggled to figure out how to operate its features. One unusual aspect of the new bathroom design was that the faucet for the rectangular sink was located on the left side instead of the back, which made basic tasks like washing hands and brushing teeth a bit awkward due to the off-center placement. Additionally, the room’s only small closet was positioned directly across from the toilet, which is a strange and inconvenient spot, especially if more than one person is staying in the room. The lobby was rather unimpressive, featuring just a couple of small couch groupings. There was a bowl of chocolate chip cookies available for purchase at the check-in counter for $3 each, which struck me as tacky and certainly not in line with the boutique hotel image they seem to want to promote. The front desk staff were efficient but appeared disinterested. No one offered me water, and there were no water bottles in the room. While I hadn’t planned on swimming, I was intrigued by the website's numerous mentions of the pool, its rules, and the poolside rooms, expecting to find a tropical retreat. Instead, the pool turned out to be small and indoor, situated in a large, echoing atrium that’s open to guest rooms on different levels. I'm not sure who would find this setup appealing, but I'm glad I didn’t book a room in that section. This was my first time staying in Ann Arbor, and I chose Weber’s based on online descriptions and reviews, as well as a last-minute decent rate. Moving forward, I plan to explore other options for my future visits.
Beautiful property! The rooms were updated, beautiful and clean. The pool area is amazing and the restaurant and bar area are absolutely beautiful. We actually canceled our reservations at another restaurant once we saw how cozy and beautiful the hotel restaurant was. We didn't regret the decision! Our food was the best and Skylar and India were friendly and hospitable servers, making our celebration even more special. Breakfast in the morning was so nice...much better than you'd experience at most chain hotels and in a more relaxing atmosphere...a great start to the next day. The front desk crew was very accommodating to the way we wanted our bill split. I would highly recommend this property and will stay here again next time I'm in the Ann Arbor area.
Reservation: The reservation process was easy. I reserved online and had no issues. Check in: Check in is not digital which you would expect for the price, but it went quickly and smoothly. Hotel: The hotel is beautiful and well kept. It's easy to find and is right off the highway. Parking was easy to find as well. Room and amenities: 1/2 key cards did not work on the hallway door. Neither card worked on the poolside door. The room was mediocre. It was dusty and out of style. Glasses were dirty with fingerprints. The throw blanket and carpet were stained. The shower looked dirty. There was a low armchair and a small side table which was inadequate for the room service we ordered. The air conditioner unit was very loud and even on full blast the room was very hot since we were right above the sauna. Being poolside there was a lot of noise in the room but that was expected, but I would also hope for better sound proofing for the price. We were on the 3rd floor so we had a spiral staircase down to the pool which was lovely. Toiletries were offered but were bad quality. Very drying and had a super strong floral scent. Shower had very low water pressure so showering took a while longer than normal. No towels by the pool so we had to take some from the room. The TV was mediocre. Overpriced pay per view movies, few live channels, and the Chromecast was a joke because the internet was too slow to stream anything, TV was low resolution as well. The bed was comfortable and there was a mini fridge in the room which was great. There was a coffee maker as well but I didn't use it. The room description also mentioned plush robes which were not provided. The pool was smaller than expected and resulted in it being very crowded. They did have adult swim which was nice but it started at 9 and there were still children in the pool until 9:30 and children remained around the pool until we left the pool at 11. Dining: The room was outstanding. We ordered room service at 7PM and received the food quickly. Portions are huge so we ordered way more than we could eat. Keep this in mind when ordering. We had the Truffle mac n cheese and the beef stroganoff and both were delicious. We did not visit the restaurant. There are 2 bars in the hotel as well. We did not visit the Habitat but we did visit the Cabana bar. The Cabana bar is way way way too small and it was too busy for a single bartender. We could not get drinks so we left, but there was a very small selection anyway. Checkout: We checked out early and could not receive a printed receipt which was fine. We got an email instead. All in all the hotel was sufficient but overpriced and I will not visit again with that price point. Probably good for families with children but not great for a couple looking for an intimate getaway.
