Cafe Flade - Appenzell

Very nice in the pedestrian zone. eating was very good. a little time you should have, as freshly prepared it takes a bit. it was worth it.

We stopped in for a light meal during our visit. Service was quick and friendly, the setting ok but not overly exciting. We had a pretty good Appenzeller Käse Zwiebel Fladen/Quiche with Appenzeller cheese with an excellent side salad, an Appenzeller Käseschnitten/Croque Monsieur with salad...on the plate this was barely ok, the bread was really dry, and a tasty but veru substantial Appenzeller Käshörnli/Mac Cheese with a salad, and an Appenzeller Siedwurst/Veal Bratwurst with no side serving. The food experience was ok but not overwhelming.

A typical Swiss café restaurant with good food (salads, steaks, schnitzel, Italian dishes) and pleasant wines. Good atmosphere, very local, friendly staff very enjoyable.

Really good traditional eating. not too expensive. friendly and attentive waitresses.

Wonderful little place, cozy and central. her cheese late zle is really excellent.
