Gardens Lake Cafe - Ararat

Needed a place to have a bite to eat that would be okay to bring our old man dog. The surroundings are lovely. Staff were very friendly and the food was very satisfying. We ended up visiting here twice in the 2 days we were in town. While the food was nice we had to wait over 45min for lunch to be served. It was not busy, the owner was in fact taking down chairs at 2.30pm. We asked twice nicely about when it would be served and was told it was coming, it is a small kitchen, etc etc. This is unacceptable. When my wife asked for a refund after her food had not arrived after 55mins the staff were extremely rude and called her a liar about her working in hospitality. The behaviour was disgusting.
