Polanco - Asheville

I originally thought this place was just a restaurant, but it turns out there's also a bar and a discotheque. The DJ wasn't very good at transitioning between songs, but they did take requests and played a lot of great Latino music, which was cool. Unfortunately, they didn't have any wine options available.

Chef Ricardo Currasco and his team provided the catering for our cocktail hour and reception at our wedding. The guests especially enjoyed the mini crab cakes, charcuterie cups, salmon with hibiscus reduction, and vegan eggplant parmesan. There were many other delicious options as well. The chef even made sure to personally serve us when he noticed we hadn't eaten yet, showing the kind of attentive service that we highly recommend to others.

Great spot for liquor drinks. Light food menu is really good and well priced. I had the short rib tacos, would pay more for more of a meal with more tacos though. Satchel was our waiter and was the best i?ve had anywhere in a long time. Need to come back tocheck out the club upstairs, have heard it is a wild time.

I had a great experience at this restaurant with a diverse menu that caters to meat eaters, vegans, vegetarians, and even offers gluten free options. I will definitely be returning to try the menu again if I am ever back in town.

My partner and I ordered a few things from both the meat and vegan sections. He got the short rib tacos which he really liked and surf and turf skewers which he also thought were pretty good. From the vegan menu, I got the empanadas which were really tasty, the taquitos which were just meh, the tiki masala which was out of this world delicious and the plantains and rice which I loved as well! Besides the taquitos, everything we had was really tasty and well priced. The atmosphere was really great with an interesting mix of patrons. We’d definitely go back and recommend it to vegans and meat eaters alike!
