Southern Soul Cafe - Ashland

This is an excellent restaurant. Word on the street is that they have the best catfish. I had no catfish this time, but I enjoyed the food all the same. Stop for great entertainment and amazing food. Hopefully the owner, Dominic, is there when you jump in. He's a wonderful conversation partner.

We stop here for a quick lunch based on local South style recommendation. Fish and chicken is crispy and juicy. I love the corn on Cob so delicious! I took one for the crab cake — too salty — I just don't like a popular dish during lunchtime? Otherwise I enjoy everything.

The food was incredible! The pork chops were tender and well seasoned. The greens were fresh and cooked for perfection. The yams were like dessert and the maize muffin was thrown on the cake. I ate too much, but will return! And you can't beat the price! It's worth it! The staff was sooo friendly and very friendly. We had a great experience!

True soul food! Friendly staff, prompt service and delicious food, all while being washed in the waters of classic soul coming through the speakers. Great experience, will definitely be back!
