Our server was exceptionally polite and attentive, adding a personal touch to the evening. The atmosphere was welcoming, contributing to an overall great dining ambiance. The culinary experience was nothing short of delightful. I opted for the grilled snapper, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My fiancé enjoyed the beef stew, a hearty and savory dish that exceeded expectations. The crowning glory, however, was the dessert – an out-of-this-world treat that left us thoroughly impressed. Pairing it with a delightful melot elevated the entire dining experience. Stamatis restaurant has truly mastered the art of creating a warm, inviting atmosphere coupled with exceptional culinary offerings. Without a doubt, I would eagerly visit again to savor more of their delectable dishes and enjoy the overall fantastic experience they consistently deliver. Highly recommended!
A true authentic Greek restaurant in Astoria that made me feel like I was in someone’s home, my Greek friends took me here so I know it was the real deal. We sampled a few plates, I’d recommend anyone else to do the same it’s the best way to truly enjoy the cuisine. We started with a salad and dips, a mix of fish and zucchini, and a dessert for everyone. Gave it a 4 since I didn’t get to try any meats, will definitely be back!
Good food and fresh as usual, friendly staff and great service. Thank you.
Food was good as expected. The fish was done well salad was standard.
????GREEK FOOD IN ASTORIA, Queens ny @Stamatis.Restaurant @stamatis.restaurant.astoria ????Wanted to explore more of Astoria while we stayed in long island city. This area is known for its Greek community, eaters, and cafes. Super walkableneighborhood and there are two main busy streets we have found After a bit of wandering, we wanted outdoor seating and foundStamatis on the Google map with great reviews. I do have to say, I felt a bit out of place going into this restaurant as we werethe only Asians ????????or even anyone other than Greek That's how legit this place was! The server was really nice and helpedus navigate through their huge menu, recommended a few items: ????Grilled octopus ????Fresh sea bass ????Saganaki (friedcheese) ????chicken souvlaki platter with dandelions ????Moussaka (egg plant, ground beef, onions, feta, scallions withbesamel cream) I think overall my favorite was the seafood (as usual). Made light with olive oil and herbs, not too heavy. Thefried cheese was surprisingly good as it was recommended by the water. Crispy in the outside, melty inside. Thin cut , to beeaten with this red tomato ???? paste Instead of the moussaka we were going to order the Nest. It had a beef stew in it butthey ran out of that item. The moussaka was like your hearty lasagna without all the carbs . The eggplants and beef togethermakes the textures consistent but includes the earthy taste of eggplants. I'm sure they smoked or grilled them ahead of timetoo All in all a great meal! Hope you can wander in there. theres a few really good spots @midwestmunching
