Flying Buck Distillery - Augusta

This is a really cool place. I only had a brief visit, so my thoughts are based on that short experience. The staff was friendly, there were plenty of appealing options to choose from, and it perfectly matched the image you get in your head when you hear "West Virginia Moonlight Distillery." I can’t wait to go back.

We arrived on Saturday, but a staff member informed us that they were closed and would reopen on Sunday at 11. Now it’s Sunday at noon, and there are only five cars in the lot. The place has a rundown appearance, reminiscent of a backyard storage space you might find in a rural area. It really gives off a West Virginia vibe, complete with a hand-painted sign advertising moonshine. We are quite disappointed!

Small. The best thing they offer was out of stock. They don't have bourbon. Moonshine (decent/good), whiskey (passable), and fruit flavored whiskeys, plus the very well done nocera. One of the t-shirts they offered as swag was a bit vulgar. And they don't offer personalized brandy snifters or things like that. They need better swag, in my opinion, and bourbon.

This is always a great place to visit. They offer a variety of moonlight dishes, along with sauces and canned options. The staff is consistently very friendly.
