Except my burger was terrible. cheap and gristlich, in a dry bungalow with a small drop of a wine sauce, a thin piece of taste-free cheese, floppy chips and 4 or five plain green leaves. the swarm of my wife was dry by being cooked over, or it sat around and was heated again. also ruined in a womb. it was completely disappointing. as I said, a wonderful place, it just needs a cook.
We enjoyed our evening in this beautiful bachside restaurant with views of the marina. the food was nice and very cheap and also a fully equipped bar with a lot of choice with the additional bonus of views, unfortunately we had to sit inside as. it was too cold. our only problem was the condition of the toilets that were not great.
We (two couples) had an evening meal in l 'escale in foleux, a small marina at the river vilaine. it is a beautiful environment with the flow and the boot with enough activity to even give a small place like this a bit of atmosphere. Your lunchtime menu is probably a better bet and worth a better one. two of us had the classic steak/peace combo, which was well prepared, although a bit of money was missing in the presentation, one had a chicken super that I thought a bit boring looking, but apparently tasted fine and I had a 'thelma 'salat, the smoked salmon, garne, leaf, tomato and gurke (I found no avocado that was included in the description). everything was lined a bit into a bowl, so it was a bit difficult to eat with lightness and from some reason it was fluffed with crispy onions that I thought was a mistake both taste and presentation wise. salates always seem an expensive option in comparison to meat or fish dishes and this was 11,50 euro. a decent bottle red (cote de blaye) at 19 euro. desserts included the standard cream brûlé and the currently popular café-gourmand that gives them a small taste of a series of desserts. priced, it came about 85 euro. as I say, change is a foot, and that could be the production of this place. the current owners take the jump at the end of this season and have completely renovated the place as well as the addition of accommodation offers. this should make a big difference, because what makes the place down is its tired decoration and facilities. it is always popular with the boat community, but if you start to expand further, it will be a nice place to go for coffee, lunch or an evening meal, as long as the quality of eating remains in harmony with the price point. it also hosts various music events during the summer season, so it is worth checking in advance, only if it is or not its kind of cache. friendly service at this opportunity and the owner was very chatting about the planned changes.
