Rambling Rose Cafe and Giftware

Enjoyed coffee and delicious slices at Rambling Rose today. The Coonara heater was blazing creating a nice warm ambience and the place was buzzing. Great place to combine a spot of shopping with a bite to eat. Lots of gifts, homewares and clothing, all good quality and nicely displayed. It’s certainly worth pulling off the freeway and spending a bit of time in Benalla, there’s a lot on offer.

We stopped here for lunch and were very impressed, firstly with the friendly staff as she asked if we would like our coffees with our lunch or before, you don't normally get asked that!! We had chicken, cheese, spinach toasted foccacias, they were brilliant. The coffee was equally brilliant too. Value for money. We will make it our place to stop when going through benalla.

The rambling Rose gift shop is exceptional, the displays are ever changing and the choice of good quality gifts, kitchenware and clothing is ever changing and of high class quality, the staff are very well presented and friendly and extremely helpful.It's a pity that the Cafe is run down in comparison with a scruffy carpet and due for an urgent update in order to be on par with the gift shop.

I've been a regular customer, for lunch, for the last few months. Last week I called in to have a late lunch, coffee and a sandwich. I was told that my sandwich was not available. Was it so difficult to make one sandwich, when the cafe was almost empty? I won't be back.
