Who knew that it was nearly impossible to secure a reservation on Resy for a party of eight! The places I looked at require you to send an email for a reservation. To this day, Rubirosa still hasn't responded. Finally, I gave up and my friend found this place on Resy and made a reservation without any snafu! We were seated in a private corner of the restaurant! The walls were nicely decorated with wine bottles and kitchen equipment. The complimentary bread with olive oil and a side of salt was key! Some of us split a reasonably priced bottle of Chianti while others got cocktails and beer. The table was split down the middle between personal pies of pizzas and pasta dishes. We all really enjoyed our entrees! The ease of making a reservation and the food would definitely draw us back again. The only thing that needed improvement was water service. No one came to replace our empty glasses of water and we barely had 1-2 full glasses each. I left quite dehydrated.
Came here for a Valentine's Day reservation back in February and it was delicious! There was a four course meal special with a glass of champagne for around $55, which was great. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or gathering with friends. They can accommodate larger parties and has a great vibe to it.
We tried Bread Tulips last night just because it happened to be in the hotel where my friends are staying and we didn't expect much. It's a hotel restaurant in the cellar, so what would you expect? And it ended up being amazing! We tried one of just about everything, and every single dish was extremely good. The scallops were perfectly seared, the octopus was perfectly seasoned, and the arancini was perfectly soft and delicious. Our server was also an absolute delight and made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it, and made some outstanding suggestions as well. Overall, it was an amazing dinner and I thought it was an absolute gem that deserves to be better known in the city.
I don't know man, I'm not understanding how this place isn't rated higher. It's excellent. For starters, this is located in the basement of the awesome Giraffe Hotel. From the outside, it seems almost basic, but once you walk downstairs you're transported and it's gorgeous. Beautiful bar, plenty of space, dim lighting, nice furniture, great overall decor, truly. Look im not an expert with interior design I don't know how you want me to describe it but it's nice, ok?! Sheesh get off my back. I'm kidding sorry, I was just feeling insecure about my description. Let's move on amicably, but you've been warned. Seriously though, I've been here a few times and each time I've really had a great meal. Today, the restaurant was dead empty which is borderline comical considering across the street there was a 2.5 hour wait for hillstone. We (the voices in my head and I) came straight to B T (nickname status) and im glad we did. Tonight, I had their steak with fries which was delicious as well as a nduja pizza (idk wtf nduja is either or if im even spelling it right) and some pasta. All delicious, fresh etc. The service was also great. Honestly, it's crazy this place has below 300 reviews and only 4 stars because based on that alone I might be inclined to try something with a flashier Yelp page but man this is a great restaurant. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed 5 stars.
