The friendly family-run O Espiga carried out the local tradition of serving simple dishes of excellent quality in huge portions at low prices to perfection. It's certainly not the prettiest restaurant you'll visit in your life but you're sure to have a good experience here thanks to the friendly staff (fire up your Google translate though unless your Portuguese is fluent) and the heaps of delicious fresh fish that's being served.

Don't miss this traditional restaurant! It serves the best Portuguese cuisine from the Alentejo region. Food is homemade by the owner, his wife and sons. Prices are really reasonable. Outside the tourist tracks. Totally worth it!

Celebrámos um aniversário neste restaurante. Tem uma sala privada, para grupos, o que nos deixa completamente à vontade. Comida muito boa (polvo, bacalhau, secretos e naco). Atendimento simpático. Recomendo.
