Gerard's Bistro - Brisbane

Really good stuff but be prepared to fork out a lot of money for the food, ambience, service and wine. Good for those special occasions and happy times.

Went to Gerard's on a Monday night, was able to get a table without a wait. Ordered a number of dishes including the infamous cauliflower dish which was a little underwhelming.

Last night we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful meal at Gerard's Bistro. The whole experience was outstanding! We started with the bread and smoked butter (that smoked butter is to die for!!) then had sweetbread tarts which were also delicious. Then on to mains where we had the suckling pig, lamb rump with that amazing lamb bacon and fried cauliflower. These dishes were so wonderfully balanced and the flavours unbelievable. The service and the knowledge of the wait staff is a credit to management. Very reasonable prices for such creative and wonderful food. We will definitely be back. I can't not recommend this wonderful restaurant enough.

Authentic North African style cuisine with the good spices.  Each meal is to satisfaction and the return is likely. The service is excellent and it is a moderate price for the City Restaurant.

Had our wedding anniversary lunch here. Service was fantastic. Being recommended with food that blown us away. The bread with cultured butter is the best! Chicken wings & wagyu beef braised & the cauliflower compliment are perfect. The taste of the food just executed balance flavour. Definitely will come back for another dining experience.
