A pretty good quality Italian restaurant, one of the better ones in Chisle. I'll run through the details: Starters: Zucchini fruit excellent Goujons of sole: ok ish not a huge portion poorly presented Mains: Calves liver excellent Vitelli al lim one excellent Escalope Milanese solid Contortions: I salad very good; potatoes, peas Dessert: cassata ice cream excellent Crème brûlée home made very good Bottle of Italian white (28.00) good cold Two coffees Came to 150 for three Look it all adds up doesn't it and it felt a tad expensive but service was good, we ate outside on a lovely day and really it was very pleasant.
Have been to Due Amici a number of times over the years and service and welcome has ways been very good. Very disappointed with our prawn starters! They were very small in size and not many of them at all. Would not have this starter again.
Would not recommend this restaurant there are many lovely restaurants in Chislehurst, but this is definitely not one of them. The waiter at our table was arrogant and obnoxious and did not tell us that one of the items we ordered on the menu was unavailable. When our food arrived and one of the main meals was missing as a result, he insisted he had told us and became very rude. He was swiftly removed by his colleagues and we were subsequently told that he had been sent home. Despite the staff telling us that they were very apologetic, when our bill arrived, they had included a hefty service charge. The restaurant looks and feels very outdated and the staff could certainly benefit from some training in customer service.
Saturday 15th 1730 booking As a family we have eaten here many times in the past 10 years. Class it as a traditional Italian restaurant where the menu is vast and service is very attentive. You will be greeted at the front of house and coat, jackets will be taken. Shown to table where olives, freshly cut bread and butter in attendance. Drinks ordered and you peruse the comprehensive menu. I ordered sardines, wife tricolour salad. Main meal of Veal Milanese and my wife the vegetarian risotto with fried zucchini. My son had the veal escalope with mushroom sauce, mixed seasonal vegetables. Food is fantastic and very traditional. Personally I choose the same few meals when eating Italian so to be able to give reasonable judgement. Now, what was noticeable was portion sizes which are reduced. , especially with the risotto. Dessert was Nonna cake, profittorolls and tiramisu two coffees and total cost with gratuity £157. Cleanliness 100% Ambience 100% Attentiveness 100% Food excellent Italian cuisine. Good selection of wines and beers. Always a pleasure to visit and eat here but everything you eat, you will pay for so expect that on your final bill . bread and olives which isn’t a problem if you know)
