Cafe Max - Brooklyn

A pretty good experience, better than expected. The food was pretty good overall. Some of the prices are a bit too much, but otherwise pretty consistent. While food was fresh and the staff was nice wish they were a bit more knowledgeable/helpful with their menu. Asked what a dish comes with and was told what it looks like on the picture. It didn 't exactly look like that, but the thing is that it came with rice. Well the rice was somewhat over friend and contained onions, which was a nice surprise for someone who is allergic to onions.

The boss takes a percentage of the tips from the staff!!! Could you believe how stingy and unprofessional that is? How dare he?? Only in a time if desperate need would anyone work there. My husband ordered tea and got it in a nice glass. I ordered coffee and got it in a huge paper cup??? (Not the waitresses fault since it’s a standard rule) It tasted like a whole bunch of milk with a little bit of coffee… I said I didn’t want it and she didn’t take it off the bill because her bully “boss” said so and that we must pay for it anyway?! . And then he changed his mind and told the waitress “sure , take it off the bill but it’s coming out of your pay-check” so we tipped her in pity of her bad boss.

Came here for a lunch with my parents! Loved all the food, the aesthetic and especially the service!! Thank you so much!!

A German beers are awesome! Kebab is pretty cool and the falafel dish.

Amazing place with wide choice of quality food and drinks, very attentive personnel, clean and child friendly. Highly recommend!
