Server was attentive and checked in several times. Decent happy hour of $6 margarita, $8 if flavored. They added a service charge on the bill for just 2 people (typically expected for 4-5+ people).

Fun interior, friendly, quick service. Yummy food. We had quesadillas and tostadas. Both very good.

Castro's is one of those legendary neighborhood spots that only seems to get the recognition it deserves in the neighborhood. i wish there were michelin stars for places like this, reasonably priced restaurants that give you phenomenal service no matter the time of year. the menu is huge and all of it is good. i especially like the breakfast here; the coffee is good, and i'll get a breakfast torta and slather it in both of the salsas one after another. what a restaurant.

Best Mexican food I've had and the service is phenomenal

Ordered 6 simple soft tacos, lady said it would be ready in 10 min. It took more than 30 minutes. Also didn't like that they did other customers orders who came after me first (at least 4). They also raised the price of tacos by $1 from the previous weekand now they come with less toppings. I can't picture myself paying $5 for their taco. The tacos were delicious though.
