We ordered both slices and square pizzas, as several reviews mentioned that the squares were worth trying. We waited over 20 minutes, which is understandable for quality pizza. However, we received one slice in a separate box from the other slices and squares we ordered. My wife ate that slice and thought it was good. Unfortunately, my slice was incredibly disappointing. The pizza was very thin, which I usually enjoy, but there was hardly any sauce! The slices in the other box seemed like they had been reheated multiple times or were simply overcooked, as they were dry and had a slightly burnt taste. The square pizza was equally lackluster and also felt like it had been reheated. You can even see the difference in the color of the basil in my pictures. I was really upset after waiting so long for such poor quality. I ended up not finishing any of the slices or squares and just threw them away. It's frustrating that the quality can fluctuate so much, especially when they charge a premium of $5 per slice and $6 per square. I don't think I'll be returning for a third visit; there are plenty of local pizza places that cost less and offer much better quality than what I experienced today. If I'm in the area again, I'd much rather head back to the Staten Island location.
This restaurant has received a lot of buzz, and it's absolutely deserved. It fully lives up to its reputation. Without a doubt, it's the best pizza in all of New York—a bold statement, but I stand by it. The pizza is made to order, and the crust is simply outstanding. The toppings are top-notch. There's a shop right across the street where you can grab a drink and enjoy your meal outside. Do yourself a favor and get here for a slice as soon as possible!
Honestly, I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a perfect 5-star rating everywhere. The service was outstanding, and everyone was incredibly friendly. While the prices aren't the lowest, you absolutely get your money's worth and more. It's hands down the best slice I've had in NYC by a wide margin. If you're looking for great pizza, you really need to venture out of Manhattan and head to Brooklyn.
