The staff was fantastic, the cuisine was truly authentic, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Please note that they only accept cash. The khachapuri (cheese bread) was delicious and met all my expectations. The salad was a perfect side—fresh and light.
I attended my Georgian friend's wedding dinner there last year. It was a special occasion, so I can't speak to the regular service (though it was quite good for the wedding event). However, the food was exceptional. It was the most authentic Georgian cuisine I've tasted in NYC. I enjoyed a wide variety of dishes, and I loved them all.
The khinkali (we tried lamb and beef) was outstanding, and the khachapuri was delicious—every version is great, but the Adjaruli really impressed everyone, even those who aren't from Georgia! Make sure not to miss it! The eggplant dish is heavenly, and the spinach and beet salads were both fantastic—definitely pair them with some Georgian bread. Not a fan of eggplant, spinach, or beets? Give them a try anyway; you might be pleasantly surprised! Just a heads up, if you’re not fond of garlic, you might have a little issue... so consider bringing mints. The shish kebabs were good, though the beef was a bit dry. They come with a tasty sauce, and the fries are exceptional, so it wasn’t a huge problem. On weekends, they offer live music and the place gets quite busy, but if you want to take your time and savor the Georgian dishes, try to visit on a weekday. Our server, Giorgi, was incredibly gracious. In short: Everything is delicious. Come hungry. I’ll definitely be returning!
