Very good, worth the price! If you want to try the original Belgian waffle, try the oval one. The texture is more dense than the other one, which is more airy and soft.
I’m sure you could find a place with as good of waffles with a bit lower pricing but this place is situated right in the middle of the Galerie and you can’t complain with the view and the ambiance around you. We waited quite a while for our order, the Jeanne fruity waffle one and two cappuccinos, but other than that such a treat. The best waffle I’ve had so far since moving to Brussels and this being said I wasn’t expecting much because it felt like a touristy spot. The strawberries were so small and sweet burst in your mouth with juice, the hazelnuts were the right size and texture, and the whipped cream is totally legit (freshly whipped and not too sweet). I really enjoyed the balance of sweetness in every element unlike those waffles you get in the stands with a million different waffles on display. And the waffle actually had a taste instead of just air (also like the waffle stands). You just can’t go wrong with this place it seems despite the wait. Everyone was serving with smiles on their faces and when we did ask if we could switch tables from outside to inside (it was super windy that day) they accommodated us.
Delightful waffles! Brussels’ waffle is light and airy, we preferred the Liege, which is chewy (a bit sweeter) and a superb flavor. Service is a bit slow, but breathe deep and then enjoy the masterpiece. Go early, the arcade fills up quickly.
The waffles here are fantastic! I got the speculoos spread with some strawberries on the Belgian waffles (you get an option between Belgian and Liege) and it was the perfect combination They also sell speculoos cookies in the store amongst other types and I’ve tried both the vanilla and original flavour which are both fantastic too. Slightly harder than a biscoff cookie but perfect to have with a coffee or tea. The customer service was amazing too and were very helpful when I had some questions about the ingredients due to allergies. Would recommend this location too as it would out of any rainy weather and is in a beautiful gallery.
We had chocolate and speculoos Brussels waffles, the toppings were cold on two of the three waffles. We asked the waiter if that was intentional, he said it no it was supposed to be hot and shrugged. Otherwise it was a nice waffle and good service and ambiance
