Feedback gevenThe service at this restaurant was extremely unfriendly. We were not greeted for about 15 minutes, and the gentleman seated next to us was so shocked that he spoke up about it. In the end, we decided to leave because the waiter told us we couldn't just order appetizers and beer. Despite the amazing museum and nice views, the brunch buffet looked enticing but unfortunately, the poor English-speaking waitstaff was disappointing.
I would not recommend this restaurant for anything other than the view. Upon arriving around 3 pm, none of the employees acknowledged us and we were left to seat ourselves. However, a waitress quickly chased us away from a table we chose, informing us it was no longer in service. We found another table, but the noise level was so high that it was difficult to hold a conversation. Despite waiting for 15 minutes, no one came to take our food order. When we inquired, we were informed that the kitchen was already closed. Feeling hungry and frustrated, we decided to pay and leave, despite our dissatisfaction with the experience.
I was disappointed to discover that I could only drink coffee at this restaurant for 3 euros and was not permitted to take a picture of the beautiful view of Brussels from the Mont des Arts. They only offer a seat with a view if you are dining there, but even then, there is no guarantee. The only way to secure a good view is through a table reservation, which they promise to everyone. However, I am skeptical of their claims and will not be returning to find out. While you can enjoy your coffee on the terrace, the view is not as impressive as they make it out to be.
Despite the other reviews, our waiter was very friendly and spoke perfect English. A delightful place for lunch, this was the BEST QUICHE I've ever had IN MY LIFE. The beer and wine selection was very good, the views were special, and the art nouveau accents are inspiring.
I’m giving one star solely for the views this restaurant has. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DON’T SPEAK FRENCH. The staff is so incredibly rude which is a shame because the restaurant is pretty and has the potential to be great. My friends and I went for a few drinks and they got us our drinks and made us pay right away not even giving us the option of having more. They then waited for us to finish and told us they needed the table when there were several empty ones around us. I don’t understand why they feel so entitled but I recommend spending your money on a business that values you more. Absolutely terrible experience.
