Built in 1953, the Tanganyika Hotel restaurant is a kind of deco room. The many highlights of the menu are "capitan ' fish, which is seasonal in diversity and is named after the custom to give the captain of the ship the best fish.
Every year we go back to Greeting from boss Marc. On the menu, they're being massacred. Invite Marc to drink a drink to your health, he will tell you the story and his experience in Bujumbura. Anyway go there...Marc Charlier
If you're in Bujumbura you must stop here to enjoy a truly luxurious meal. I lunched there almost daily during my month-long stay in Burundi with every meal being more exquisite than the last. As a New Yorker who's dined at some of the best steak houses around, Lake Tanganyika could handily beat them all, guaranteed. This place deserves at least seven stars.
Best restaurant in the city, pleasant reception and service to the expected height. Bravo
