Unfortunately, the owner and the cook were preoccupied with their cell phones and didn't acknowledge our presence as we waited for at least a menu. We were the only customers there at the time. Once they finally brought us a menu and some water, it took another 20 minutes before we were served. The customer service was truly disappointing, and the food was even worse.
Found this place on our road trip and glad we did. Great customer service and good food! Definitely will stop by again next time!
Let me start off by saying the food was terrible. Taco Bell is better than the food here. And since the they didn't update the online prices it was way more expensive than Taco Bell. The restaurant workers wrote my order down wrong and then tried to tell me that isn't what I said when there were at least 3 other witnesses telling them exactly what I had said. Then they said that they will remake the food but that all other order will be a priority and mine would go last. I told them I had been waiting for 90 minutes already even though they told us the food would be ready in 30-40 minutes. When other interviewed and told them they were in the wrong they finally decided to make my food first. The food ended up being horrible and it will never be coming back here again. You can get more authentic food at Taco Bell if Mexican food is what you are craving. Hopefully this help someone in the future. I wish I was warned prior.
As of March 2021, this restaurant is Julio's. The food is excellent! I highly recommend their Southwest Chili Relleno—it's delicious!
There have been occasions when the food here was genuinely good, but unfortunately, most of the time it's a letdown. I might have guessed that someone without experience was in the kitchen, but I know for a fact that Latinos run the place. The beans and rice are really disappointing. Not only is the flavor lacking, but my boyfriend actually found a large bone in his chicken tacos during our last visit. It was so big that I couldn't understand how they had missed it. Perhaps they thought we ordered "bone tacos." The staff barely speaks English, and if they don't understand something, they just smile and nod, which is amusing. On a positive note, it’s still nice to find a decent burrito so far up in the mountains.
