Watauga Lake Winery - Butler

Excellent wine. Great tasting experience on the spacious outside patio. The mountain views in the photos are all up at Villa Nove Vineyards, which is closed for the Winter Season.

The positive is that the new updates and painting of the building and rear outdoor patio look amazing. The drive to get there is beautiful, being so close to the lake. The negative is that the flights to taste all the wines are limited, and a little overpriced. If a winery is truly searching for new or return or online customers or sales, the prices could be lowered for the flights tastings. You can't find your favorite if you have to pay as much as a bottle of wine justto taste and find what you like.

Food and drink was good as before but service wasn't. Our waitress focused on one couple at the bar. We ran out of drinks, I had to go up to get refills and another server helped us check out! Very disappointed especially since it is local to us. Hopefully it'll be better another time

You will have a little drive to get here but do not let that dissuade you from making a visit. I promise it will all be worth it when you get here. The people who work here are wonderful and very helpful. Definitely check out their wood fired pizza and the charcuterie plate.

Definitely worth the drive. We enjoyed a fun wine tasting, delicious pizza, the best bottle of sangria wine we have ever had and the people were supper nice. Our best wine tasting experience ever.
