A humble lettuce was transformed into something unforgettable and the duck and final fig pudding so delicious. Paired with wonderful wines and as much Rosé as we wanted with canapés to start. The guy next to us was having a series of vegetarian dishes and smiling all the way. Met people from all over the world and walked back under the stars. Heard that they are about to launch a pink champagne with a limited number of bottles made from the grapes in the crater. Will have our name down for lots of those !!!
What a unforgettable experience! With such a high level of cooking, in a such a beautiful and remote location, this place is a must visit! Chef Andy and hostess Maria are a great team and were incredibly attentive and welcoming. Wines were SUPERB too! Can’t wait to come back next year!
This is a very rare and unique restaurant/winery in an idyllic setting hard to replicate anywhere else. Our entire group were blown away by the quality of food, wine, friendly staff and the overall experience. They only accept a smaller group of people every evenings which makes everything feel much more intimate and genuine. Thank you to our waitress Maria and chef Andrew for a memorable evening! We’re already planning to come back next year :
If you are looking for something out of the box in terms of location and searching to satisfy your discerning Epicurean wonts, then look no further than the Domaine de Météore’s crater dinners! Not only do you find yourself sitting in an actual meteor crater to eat, the food is (excuse the pun! out of this world! A treat to the taste buds, each gastronomic course is paired with the most perfect Météore white, rosé or red wine. They present an ever changing menu, but our evening started with two exquisite oysters one smoked and one gin and tonic flavour and then to a tomato minestrone that freshly prepared your taste receptors for the following seared asparagus, and then the melt in the mouth beef and concluding on a rhubarb and cream high. All eaten as the sun goes down and the stars twinkle more brightly than you’ve ever seen them, in the dark, countryside skies. This is not just dinner out, this is a life experience…
Very good address to do at least once! the frame is great, we were totally unpaid. A unique menu is offered, they seemed surprised that I asked if they had no vegetarian dish but in the end the chef made the same dishes without flesh (with some small modifications). I hesitated to put 5 because the frame is worth them, but some dishes were a little too salty and they were, overall, not exceptional. If I could, I would have put 4.5.
