One of our best experiences in Italy is Caffe Vittoria where even a foreigner is welcomed with a smile and your order is brought to your outdoor table (no extra charge or mark-up) with another friendly smile. The coffee is reliably good, and even more delicious as a cappuccino or affogato. Ice cream is made in-house with quality ingredients and the pasticciottos are the best (try the pistachio)! Lovely place for a morning coffee sitting in the sunshine, or for an ice-cream treat in the evening. When it comes to heart and soul, the south beats the north!

This is a small family-run business famous in the local area for the excellent ice-cream. The location (the main square of Calimera; no much to see in town is not great, but Caffè Vittoria is definitely worth visiting. They have been able to hold on the tradition of Italian Caffés while being innovating in their array of products. The ice-cream cones (enormous! and cakes (the semifreddo are delicious and entail classic tastes as well as tasty combinations with amaretto, mascarpone, figues, and many others. You should also try the coffee-based specialties such as the espressino freddo (hot coffee, cold milk foam and nutella or the nocciolino (coffee with hazelnut ice-cream . The personnel is very efficient, kind and polite. Finally, the price: just don't think about it, it's soooo low! One suggestion for those going there in the summer: if you love peace, visit it after lunch, when the town streets are empty to escape from the heat; if you love lively places, go there in the evening when the bar is populated by locals of all generations.

There does not appear to be much in Calimera and the town square is not that much to look at but Caffe Vittoria is a must for seeking out . We visited a number of times during the day and the evening especially the evening , this is when it comes alive with every generation probably from miles around coming for an ice cream many great flavours and its clear to see they care about the quality all made onsite I would say inside this place is air conditioned and it is a smart place to sit and just watch the locals enjoy themselves. There are also cakes and pastries as well as ice cream desserts. and coffee on the side what more could you want and its very very reasonable..

Excellent breakfast in this bar: a fragrant and well filled croissants and a pastry shop just made with an excellent balance of flavors.
