Blau Mar - Calp

The food was ok, the salad for the cocktail de gambas disappointing. We expected more after the rating, for us max 2 is already a stretch, because the paella was acceptable however heaps of pork and no chicken. We wouldn’t recommend at all and won’t go there again.

Amazing paella, especially the Paella Valenciana with chicken, beans and rosemary (but thankfully no rabbit! which was delicious! We liked it so much we booked again two days later to try the seafood paella which was also very good. Excellent service and reassuringly full of Spanish people who know a thing or two about paella! Definitely book in advance. The only disappointment was the prawn cocktail, made with a mere suggestion of frozen prawns and padded out with processed crab sticks! I would rather pay a few euros more and have them make it properly with fresh ingredients! However, the starters on other tables looked amazing. Well worth a visit!

After years of walking past this little restaurant on the promenade. We did a Google search for a good paella. Omg!! We were not disappointed. It was amazing. Not only the food. It was a pleasure to be served by a friendly hospitable waiter. I must admit, we were embarrassed to have overlook this gem. We will definitely be back let the rest of our friends family know.

El menú de 17€ está bastante bien logrado, aunque quizás un poco subido de precio, platos tradicionales con buena elaboración. Servicio bastante lento para el número de mesas de las que dispone el restaurante. Muy buenas vistas a la playa y el mar.

Muy buen restaurante para ir a Calpe, el servicio inmejorable
