Hellenic Club in the City - Canberra

Went in July 2017 with a group of 12. The meals were yummy and bis servings. We ended up going to the wrong Hellenic club. Apparently the other one close by has a kids area or similar. We would come back.

OMG, how embarrassing I took a group of 34 people here and took away a very bad experience Badly cooked food, even on return of it, yes they gave us a part refund off our total bill, but no one will return there unfortunately.

Ordered two steak meals one with potatoes and vegetables and one with chips and salad. Vegetables were still frozen so sent back. Both steaks were cold as we're the chips. The salad greens could have been fresher. Very disappointed. This is the first time we have not finished a meal.

We went as a group of Father's and Sons while we were in Canberra for the Kanga Cup. We made a booking and were excited about a night out. I kid you not, we sent back half of our orders because they were wrong. The best one was a Cheeseburger that came out. It was actually 2 meatballs that were cut in half. When we complained that it had no cheese they brought it back with some parmessan cheese on it. We brought this back and asked them, "How does this get served?" Look for other options as this is not Greek food and very poor.

Went here last night before seeing the comedy festival for dinner. Had to join before entering which was to be expected. Ordered a few drinks and watched the footy. Got back to the table and found they got the order wrong. Anyway, decide what to have to eat and get told that they don't serve until 6. It's 5:55 at this point but ok I wait. Go back 15 mins later and order gyros and duo of lamb. Prices not bad. 20 mins later the meals come out. Nothing like the menu description. No potatoes on the duo of lamb and it's swimming with pesto (not on the description at all). The gyros also flooded with pesto and no meat to be seen. It was not great and certainly wasn't what I expected. Disappointing meal but cheap drinks so there's the 2 stars.
