If you leave Capestang on the D37 towards Quarante, there are small signs that will guide you where you turn for the restaurant, and more signs as you wind your way through the landscape. We found the owners very friendly and helpful with the menu. We had some local wines, delicious entrées and fill main courses. Prices were also very reasonable.
So hurt, delicious restaurant is worth the effort to find. Right on the Canal du Midi, or drive over tiny vineyards and enjoy the friendly owners and really good food. It's one of those places you tell your friends home.
The drive across vineyards and finally over the canal to reach this restaurant is well worth it. The menu features whatever is fresh in the area and is an amazingly good value. The host is very good natured and makes for a fun evening with...the sounds of American MoTown hits playing from the kitchen. The pork medallions were excellent, while the entrees featuring the in-season asparagus were likewise a hit. The wine list was filled with local wines at a very reasonable price, as well.
In the middle of nowhere west of Capestang on the Canal du Midi. We moored up alongside and had dinner. Fun informal place. Small menu but fabulous. Very local excellent wines. Well worth a stop.
Renault and Matthieu made all 35 of us welcome and served a wonderful meal and at a good price and a superb setting. Thank you so much.
