Law & Orders - Carleton Place

My wife and I decided to have a meal at this restaurant while I was exploring the area. I ordered a hamburger with fries, and my wife had a hotdog with fries. The food had great taste and definitely satisfied our hunger.

From the road side burger and fry square. choice of 1/4 or 1/2 pfund burger. good selection of burgers at hühnerburgern, poutin, fritten, rings. interior and exterior seats. not much parking space. we're here before we can.

I love eating here. great value and fantastic aromas. I love the veggie burger and poutine is to die. they also offer an amazing breakfast menu.

So happy to see that they are now open all year. by far the best poutine in the whole opposite! prices are very reasonable, friendly staff, eating is excellent and really good quality. Homemade burgers are for dying! I can honestly say I'm...now to find a burger so good in any restaurant in the opposite. for a chip-weigh type of feeling, this place has it on! can not wait to taste the pizza!

This rating is strictly for the communication regarding catering services. This has nothing to do with our opinion of the actual food from this restaurant. We had a tasting with Law Orders that went really well back in July. The food is good and...they were reasonably priced for catering, so naturally we wanted to hire them to cater our wedding. We had asked back in July for a contract and that we would give a deposit to secure the date. We were told by the owner, Jamie Law, that they don 't do contracts and don 't require a deposit (who in their right mind hires food for a wedding or any event without a contract? and he usually secures weddings based on his promise alone. He agreed that he would do a contract for us anyway. By mid August we still hadn 't heard anything, so we followed up with him and he said that he would get it to us in a couple of weeks. That couple of weeks went by and we still hadn 't heard anything, so we followed up for the second time and even a third time when the deadlines were not met and got the same excuses. We were told that he forgot with a slew of other excuses and that we would get one by October 8th. On October 7th, we had sent him a friendly text reminder that the contract was agreed to be sent to us the next day because by this point it had been 3 months of chasing this company for a contract. It was now getting to be a rush because we are getting close to winter where food trucks close for the season and they rarely answer phones/emails in their off time, which would leave us in a severe pinch next spring trying to find a food truck for that fall if this fell through. His text back was extremely rude and the short story is that he told us to find a new caterer. Clearly his promise means nothing because he did promise us a contract and we had to chase him for 3 months, so he has proven to be extremely unreliable. Word of caution about this place the food is good, but the communication is awful and they are extremely unreliable. You shouldn 't have to chase a company for a contract!
